Request: Automating depclean?

I find it weird that so many commands have to be run and remembered to update your system. emaint, emerge with various sets, maybe revdep-rebuild, maybe some language’s special updater/cleaner, and finally depclean.
Sure,many have now been integrated into preserved-rebuild, but depclean still stands alone.
There is also no option to enable automatic depcleaning. (I don’t think there actually is a reason.)
So, it would be cool, if the article would have a section about automating that. A hook maybe?
