Article needs reworked

This entire article needs restructured and reworked. The flow of logic here does not seem clear to my brain...especially at 4 AM. Leaving myself a note here, but anyone else is welcome to take a stab at improving it. --Maffblaster (talk) 11:51, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

I made some cleaning up, but I also left the manual initramfs creation, but commented it out. It should probably move to Microcode which also "needs some help", but I'm not sure if the method described still works and if it is also applicable for e.g. Intel microcode (which it should when it goes to the general Microcode article).

Please don't leave commented junk that people forget about. I'd suggest using Dated template with the section option so it can be noted and verified. --Grknight (talk) 17:38, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
