Regarding fc-cache

I read here that you can also use fc-cache to force refresh the fonts on your system, like this:
user $ fc-cache -f -v
However, the font cache seems to be refreshed when any program – like LibreOffice – is reopened. Is there a case where a refresh like this would be necessary? Is it worth being included in the wiki page article? - Avg surfman (talk) 17:12, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
