A section about the new bindist way?
So apparently, Gentoo offers pre-built packages nowadays. So instead of -bin, selectively using those for jumbo packages would be nice. But how do I do it only for those packages automatically? category/some-jumbo bindist in package.use? It would be nice if that would be described here. (Btw, wouldn’t it make sense to remove all -bin packages from the repo (and have them automatically replaced by pulling in the pre-built ones?) — Evi1m4chine (talk) 14:08, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
