Grub2 and Runlevels

Seems with the new Grub2, the /etc/default/grub file only allows for setting one kernel command line. So specifying other entries with specific runlevels will need to be entered manually (and maintained) within the /etc/grub.d/40_custom.

Probably would be nice to see the /etc/default/grub have the ability to maintain multiple GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX lines, for handling additional runlevels or options for enabling or disabling XOrg. (ie. nox) --Roger (talk) 05:57, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

dhcpcd alone more robust?

I followed this how-to to the letter, but for me it did not result in a robust solution. My wired ethernet is part of a docking station connnected via USB-C, and on disconnecting the docking station ifplugd failed to switch to wlan. I find using dhcpcd in place of the combination of netifrc+ifplugd is more robust so I have very slightly clarified that there are other methods other than that described here to achieve network roaming, especially since this page is where Gentoo laptop network roaming searches seem to land.
