April 17, 2019: New community user wiki profile form

A community user profile form has been created to help our community members create their wiki profile pages. Using this form will help our community avoid formatting their userspace pages using the traditional {{InfoBox}} templates. Presently the user form is fairly basic. Users can add their real name, nickname, website, PGP key fingerprint, etc. Expect functionality to be expanded in the future.

Matthew Marchese (maffblaster) , is there a reason why you wanted to replace user infoboxes with this template? If there's a good reason, I may fix this template and possibly copy the remaining Template:InfoBox user stuff over.

The {{User}} template is easier to use in my opinion. It has a lower barrier of entry than the {{InfoBox}} templates since those have to be nested and are syntactically more difficult for the drive-by wiki user... also similar to {{Developer}}, {{User}} an easy-to-use input form (see Form:User).
I hope you have at it and do some nice improvements. --Maffblaster (talk) 18:33, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Those do sound like good reasons. I'll see what I can pull off.
