Emerge
To install rEFInd, emerge it with:
root #emerge --ask sys-boot/refindInstallation
Important
If sys-boot/efibootmgr is not installed, refind-install may output alerts warning that there were problems with running the program.

To install rEFInd to the ESP, run refind-install:
root #refind-installShimSource is none Installing rEFInd on Linux.... ESP was found at /efi using vfat Copied rEFInd binary files Copying sample configuration file as refind.conf; edit this file to configure rEFInd. Keeping existing NVRAM entry rEFInd is set as the default boot manager. Existing //boot/refind_linux.conf found; not overwriting. Installation has completed successfully.
