GPIO Firmware
The default sys-boot/raspberrypi-firmware is in desperate need of a version bump. -9999 may work on a Pi5 but the others are too old. The main body of the Raspberry_Pi_Install_Guide text instructs to use the git version, which should be the -9999 version here.
I only use a serial console, so no comment on the fine detail but it looks good to me.

- I completely agree about the raspberry-firmware package being severely out of date. I'll probably change it to say something along the
- lines of, "The kernel and firmware installation method described in Raspberry_Pi_Install_Guide#Installing_the_Raspberry_Pi_Foundation_files..."
- instead. I agree that the state of firmware changed drastically since the Pi 5 release. Newer firmware is actually quite important.
- Regarding the serial page. I may just link to the one already written about. The slight inconsistency with the udev rules may confuse less knowledgable
- people, I fear.

The 3.3v Health Warning
The Pi is not 5v tolerant. All the GPIO pins use 3.3v logic. The GPIO and maybe more, will be destroyed by attempting to connect 5v logic devices.

- Excellent and very important point! I'll add a, "Safety" section or similar talking about the physical limitations of the pins.

To add this page to the Raspberry_Pi_Install_Guide, it should become a sub page of the parent document. The parent is already too big and the steps here are not required for installing.

- That's what I was thinking based on the brief comments you made on IRC. I understand your concern. Would it be linkable as Raspberry_Pi_Install_Guide/Raspberry_Pi_GPIO?
- My wiki knowledge is still fresh and I've by no means mastered the proper etiquette when working on these bigger pages.
